Dutch House Police Biography

DJ/Producer Gideon Keller a.k.a. Dutch House Police, born 1981, started his career and interest in music at a very young age. At age 15 he bought his first Technics SL turntables and quickly made a name for himself locally. Gideon’s DJ skills and musical talent didn’t go unnoticed outside of local boundaries, as he started to garner interest from other clubs and festivals within the Netherlands. Gigs in several famous Dutch clubs like Hemkade and Marcanti opened up some resident DJ placements.

In 1999 he started to align his interest in music with his professional life, as he started to work in the sales sector of DJ-equipment and related audio products. After 11 years of work experience within this branch, Gideon has gained a vast technical knowledge, as well as recognition of his efforts by DJ-equipment companies (most notably Pioneer). This period allowed Gideon to get well acquainted with the now ubiquitous Pioneer CDJ CD-players, as the DJ-worldtransitioned from analog turntables to digital CDJ’s.

Gideon’s passion for electronic music didn’t stop at DJ-ing, as he decided to build his own studio in order to produce electronic dance music himself. His sometimes ‘groovy’, but most of the time ‘rough’ bass lines became his musical signature that allowed them to be picked up by many other DJ’s as part of their set list.
In 2012 Gideon started collaborating with DJ/Producer H. Ninchritz (internationally known as ‘Clive King’) under the name ‘Dutch House Police’. Together, they have created the official anthem for the Ultrasonic Festival 2013, in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This ongoing collaboration will produce several new EDM tracks and remixes, to be released in the near future under the name ‘Dutch House Police’. Several of these tracks will be infused with Gideon’s own vocals and guitar playing.
